Job summary

ITW (Illinois Tool Works) is seeking an HR Intern for the summer of 2027 to join the CCNA HR team at ITW's Corporate campus in Glenview, IL and our Itasca operations facility in Illinois. The role focuses on recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, talent development, engagement, and diversity & inclusion, working ~40 hours per week from mid May to early August 2027.

The intern will partner with the HR team on workplace matters, support the employee lifecycle, and help with the summer

Qualifications

• Rising junior pursuing a bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, psychology, economics or related field.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Leadership and teamwork capabilities required (extracurricular, academic, etc.).
• Eagerness to learn, demonstrated curiosity, and a drive to excel.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Expected graduation Winter 2028 or Spring 2029.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the CCNA HR team on a variety of workplace matters (i.e. talent, employee engagement, diversity & inclusion, wellness program).
• Support all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, development, retention, and offboarding.
• Create division-wide HR communications.
• Assist with the summer internship program.
• Additional projects as assigned.
