Gartner is seeking a Software Engineer focused on operational excellence in HR Technology. You will build and support integrations for HR and Sales Compensation platforms, delivering reliable, scalable technology solutions.

You will collaborate with business and technical teams to meet requirements, ensure quality and security, and drive automation. This hybrid role offers growth, mentorship, and a culture focused on impact and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in software engineering or integration development.
• Proficiency in Python for building integrations, automation, or services.
• Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, SQS, or similar cloud technologies.
• Experience working with APIs and web services (REST/SOAP) and data formats (JSON, XML).
• Strong SQL skills with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server).
• Basic understanding of identity and access management (IAM, Active Directory, Okta).
• Familiarity with Agile development practices and tools such as Jira or ServiceNow.

• Maintain and enhance HR and Sales Compensation integrations to support growth.
• Design and implement improvements to strengthen stability, scalability, and efficiency.
• Partner with business and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

• Build automation to reduce manual effort and streamline support processes.
• Contribute to operational readiness through runbooks and recovery planning.
• Collaborate with delivery teams for smooth transitions and documentation.
