Job summary

Sarpy County is seeking an HR-focused professional to support programs with data-driven insights, maintain online HR resources, and enhance communications for employee access to services. This role collaborates on recruitment, onboarding, and the transition to a new HRIS system.

Key responsibilities include maintaining HR data in HRIS, updating the HR website, and participating in workforce planning and HR modernization projects to improve county operations and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field.
• Experience in human resources, business administration, and/or HRIS.
• Have and maintain a valid Driver’s License, as well as meet eligibility requirements of “acceptable driving standards” as defined by the County.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update job descriptions and qualifications.
• Interpret and explain rules, regulations, procedures, and Human Resource laws to elected officials, department heads, and county employees.
• Assist with full-cycle recruitment and hiring activities; posting of jobs and lead applicant communication.
• Ensure all pre-employment and onboarding paperwork including offer letters and background checks are completed accurately.
• Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding.
• Maintain HR data within HRIS and related systems.
• Manage content for the HR website and intranet.
• Participate in county-wide HR projects including workforce planning and HR modernization.
• Maintain position control records and reconcile with budgets and HRIS data.
• Assist with HR technology implementations and process improvements.
