Job summary

New York Technology Partners seeks an HR Generalist to be the first point of contact for employees on policies, benefits, onboarding, and HRIS in Workday.

You will handle onboarding/offboarding, benefits, performance cycles, compliance with Texas and federal laws, and develop HR reports using Workday in a flexible, hybrid environment.

This role supports a growing firm and requires 2–5 years of HR experience and a degree in HR, business, or related field; PHR/SHRM-CP is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years HR Generalist experience, ideally in consulting, agency, or professional services.
• Hands-on Workday experience (HCM required; Recruiting/Comp/Reporting a plus).
• Solid knowledge of Texas and federal employment law.
• Strong discretion and judgment handling confidential employee matters.
• Excellent communication skills with employees at all levels, including client-facing consultants.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field; PHR/SHRM-CP a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for employees on HR policies, benefits, and general questions.
• Manage full-cycle onboarding and offboarding, ensuring a smooth experience for new hires and departing employees.
• Own day-to-day HRIS administration in Workday, including employee data changes, org structure updates, reporting, and troubleshooting.
• Support benefits administration, open enrollment, and leave management.
• Partner with People/Talent leadership on performance management cycles, compensation processes, and employee relations issues.
• Help maintain compliance with federal and Texas employment laws.
• Build and maintain HR reports and dashboards using Workday reporting tools.
• Support engagement initiatives, culture programming, and internal communications.
• Assist with policy development and employee handbook updates.
• Partner with Finance/Payroll to ensure accurate and timely data flow between systems.
