Job summary

LSW Engineers is seeking an on-site Human Resources Generalist in Phoenix, AZ who can guide employees and managers with confidential HR support while helping strengthen recruiting and day‑to‑day people operations.

You’ll be the first point of contact for HR questions, assist with policies, onboarding, benefits, payroll, and maintain compliant HR records as part of a collaborative team. A strong English communicator fluent in Mandarin is highly desired.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; direct work experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
• 2+ years of experience in human resources, recruiting, or a related role
• Experience with recruiting, onboarding, and employee support strongly preferred
• Knowledge of general HR practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements
• Proficiency with HRIS systems, applicant tracking systems, and Microsoft Office
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; bilingual fluency in Mandarin Chinese is highly desired

Responsibilities

• As the first point of contact for HR support, you will help employees navigate HR policies and everyday workplace questions.
• Contribute to recruiting and talent acquisition as an initial focus, while supporting a broad range of HR operations.
• Answer employee questions and provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, benefits, payroll, time off, and general workplace matters
• Support employees and managers in a professional, confidential, and timely manner
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HR files remain complete and compliant
• Assist with development, communication, and implementation of HR policies and procedures
• Support employee engagement initiatives to help foster a positive workplace culture
• Manage full-cycle recruiting activities, including job postings, sourcing, resume screening, interview coordination, and candidate communication
• Conduct initial candidate interviews and assist with evaluating applicant qualifications
• Coordinate background checks, offer letters, and pre-employment requirements
• Maintain applicant tracking records, support recruiting metrics and reporting, and help improve recruiting processes and candidate experience
• Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding, orientation, and required employment documentation to ensure smooth transitions
• Support employee changes, promotions, transfers, and terminations, including offboarding support such as exit interviews and final documentation
• Help employees with benefits-related questions and enrollment processes
• Partner with payroll as needed to keep employee information accurate and up to date
• Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies, including required reporting, audits, and HR compliance initiatives
• Assist with employee relations matters, elevate complex issues as appropriate, and support performance management processes for documentation and communication
• Coordinate training, development, and performance review activities
