Job summary

Barrday in Charlotte, NC is seeking an HR Generalist to partner with local management and deliver HR programs aligned with our mission and values. You will handle recruitment, compensation & benefits, employee relations, development, and records management, while championing Barrday culture.

This hands-on role requires 4+ years of HR experience in manufacturing, strong communication skills, and the ability to navigate regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
• 4+ years of experience; non-union manufacturing environment preferred.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate others where there is no direct authority.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
• Working knowledge of HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure excellent HR administration service delivery to Charlotte employees and managers.
• Provide coaching and assistance to Barrday managers on people management, policy interpretation, and performance feedback.
• Oversee recruiting activities for the Charlotte facility and management of agency relationships.
• Manage vendor relationships including benefit providers, recruiting agencies, and legal counsel.
• Annual and ongoing assessment of internal equity and market competitiveness; benefits administration and employee support.
• Maintain records and logs to conform to EEO and other regulations; administer leaves (FMLA, workers’ comp).
• Payroll data update and sign-off, onboarding and exit processes.
• Support Charlotte Social Committee and employee training initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.
