Job summary

ASC Tarboro is seeking an HR Generalist to deliver hands-on HR support for the Tarboro plant, covering employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, compliance, and HR administration on the production floor.

The role partners with HR leadership and legal counsel to ensure lawful labor relations and proactive HR practices, with preferred experience in union organizing campaigns and strong knowledge of federal and North Carolina employment law.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field.
• 6 years of progressive HR generalist experience, ideally in manufacturing.
• Experience with NLRA and labor relations strongly preferred.
• Experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for HR questions across all shifts.
• Coordinate listening sessions, engagement surveys, and town halls.
• Coach supervisors on fair management and deliver training.
• Conduct employee relations investigations with proper documentation.
• Manage full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried roles.
• Oversee onboarding, performance management, leave, and benefits.
• Ensure compliance with NLRA, wage/hour, I-9/E-Verify, and postings.
