Job summary

Potomac-Community-Services is seeking an HR Generalist to support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, HRIS administration, and records management. You will collaborate with the HR Manager and department leaders to keep processes compliant, timely, and aligned with PCS policies.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least three years of HR experience, with a strong commitment to confidentiality, teamwork, and a safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent HR experience.
• Three or more years of progressively responsible HR experience.
• Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, teamwork, and safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment activities for multiple positions and prepare job postings.
• Review applications and conduct discovery interviews; coordinate interviews with supervisors.
• Prepare employment offers and new-hire documentation; maintain records per requirements.
• Maintain applicant tracking system; report status to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and contractual obligations.
• Collaborate with managers to create/update job descriptions and postings.
• Monitor turnover and retention trends; assist leadership with improvements.
• Coordinate onboarding process and pre-employment background screening.
• Maintain accurate, confidential employee files and HRIS/payroll data.
• Travel between office locations as needed; support recruitment and onboarding efforts.
