Job summary

Transdev in Arcadia, CA is hiring a Human Resources Generalist to support the management team with full-cycle recruiting and other HR responsibilities. The role emphasizes customer service and safety in daily operations within a transportation environment.

The candidate will manage interviews, onboarding, benefits education, and compliance tasks, including background checks and E-Verify, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of Human Resources experience.
• College coursework in a related field preferred.
• Computer-literate with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs.

Responsibilities

• Full-cycle recruiting responsibilities, including reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, and hiring candidates through Jobvite.
• Create and maintain employee files, onboarding paperwork and EEO/AAP documents.
• Manage driver and staff payroll and leaves of absence, including FMLA tracking.
• Educate employees on the benefits provided.
• QA checks ensuring compliance with background checks, drug and alcohol screens, and E-Verify.
