Job summary

Start Corporation in Houma, LA seeks an HR Generalist to manage PolicyPro within Relias, coordinate university affiliations and internship programs, and handle employment verifications.

You will assist with onboarding, maintain accurate employee records in HR systems, support HR projects and communications, and provide backup support to the HR team while upholding confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
• Previous HR experience is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Manage PolicyPro within Relias, including maintaining current policies and policy acknowledgments.
• Coordinate university affiliation and internship agreements and maintain required documentation.
• Complete employment verification requests.
• Assist with employee onboarding and new hire orientation.
• Assist with maintaining accurate employee records and information in HR systems.
• Assist with employee changes, HR documentation, letters, forms, and routine employee requests.
• Assist with annual and special HR projects, including evaluations, open enrollment, training initiatives, and employee communications.
• Provide backup support to other HR team members as needed.
• Assist the Chief Human Resources Officer with reports, audits, special projects, and other department needs.
• Perform other duties assigned.
