Job summary

BSI Engineering is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support the day-to-day operations of the HR department for an engineering consulting firm, supporting around 230 employees across three locations. This role joins a dedicated team focused on delivering an exceptional experience for our staff.

This role will handle recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, leave coordination, employee relations, HR operations, and compliance, reporting to the Vice President of Human

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred, or equivalent HR experience.
• Minimum of three years of progressive HR experience.
• Proven experience managing full-cycle recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Experience supporting benefits administration and employee leave programs.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Experience using HRIS, ATS, Microsoft Office and project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Support full-cycle recruitment activities from posting to offer materials.
• Manage onboarding and new hire orientation to ensure a compliant experience.
• Coordinate benefits enrollment and leave programs (FMLA, parental leave, etc.).
• Provide employee relations support and HR process guidance to leaders.
• Prepare HR reports and metrics related to recruitment, onboarding, turnover, and headcount.
• Maintain HR data in HRIS and related systems.
• Collaborate with IT for onboarding/offboarding technology and access.
