Job summary

Polar Communications in Park River, ND is seeking an HR Generalist to support day-to-day HR functions and assist the Chief People & Experience Officer in delivering a positive employee experience.

The role covers recruitment, onboarding, records, training, performance and absence management, policy administration, safety programs, WSI claims coordination, and compliance with company policies and the collective bargaining agreement.

• Knowledge of HR practices, leave administration, safety, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Support recruitment, new employee onboarding and employment changes.
• Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and answer routine HR questions.
• Coordinate employee leaves of absence and return-to-work arrangements.
• Support employee training, performance management, recognition and engagement activities.
• Coordinate Workforce Safety & Insurance (WSI) claims and assist with workplace safety programs.
• Help maintain compliance with employment requirements, company policies and the collective bargaining agreement.
