Job summary

Wallis Companies in Pacific, MO is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to deliver professional HR support across benefits administration, employee relations, leave management, and compliance. You will partner with leadership to ensure a positive employee experience and adherence to policies and regulatory requirements.

You will maintain HRIS data, handle workers’ comp, leaves, OSHA reporting, unemployment claims, and employee communications while supporting policy updates and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience including benefits, leave, compensation, and HR systems.
• English proficiency for communication with management, clients, and general public.
• Ability to analyze HR data and metrics to inform decisions.
• Experience with HR technologies and data privacy considerations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data in the HRIS for reliable reporting and compliance.
• Serve as primary contact for team members on HR programs, benefits, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor performance management processes and ensure consistent application.
• Administer workers’ compensation claims from start to finish with documentation.
• Manage FMLA and other leaves with legal compliance and accurate records.
• Ensure adherence to attendance and safety practices; maintain safety culture.
• Maintain Policy Manual accuracy and alignment with standards.
• Complete OSHA reporting and coordinate employee accommodations per ADA.
• Manage unemployment claims including documentation and hearings as needed.
• Collaborate with HR leadership on employee relations investigations and resolutions.
• Performs additional duties to support HR function effectiveness.
