Job summary

Comrise in New Jersey seeks an HR Generalist to post jobs, screen candidates, and conduct interviews, while managing offers and onboarding new hires. The role also covers payroll, PTO tracking, and benefits administration in a high-volume environment.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s in HR or related field, 3 years of hands-on HR generalist experience, strong HRIS/ATS proficiency, and excellent interpersonal skills with discretion and ethics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3 years of hands-on generalist HR experience including recruitment, payroll, and compliance.
• Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, BambooHR, ADP, Gusto, or Paylocity).
• Proficiency in ATS and job boards (LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) and office tools.
• In-depth understanding of employment standards, wage-and-hour laws, and labor regulations.
• Exceptional interpersonal, conflict-resolution, and active listening skills.
• High level of discretion, ethics, and ability to handle confidential data.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail in high-volume environments.

Responsibilities

• Post jobs, screen candidates, and conduct interviews.
• Manage job offers and onboarding new hires.
• Run payroll and track PTO, hours, and bonuses.
• Fix pay errors and help with employee benefits.
• Keep personnel files and handbooks updated.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA).
