Job summary

Open Road Brands is seeking an experienced HR Generalist in Wichita, KS (on-site) to manage daily people operations, biweekly payroll, benefits administration, and full-cycle recruiting for exempt and non-exempt roles.

You will deliver onboarding, employee relations support, and coordinate recognition and events within the annual budget. This role reports to the Head of Human Resources and is part of a growing HR function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on HR generalist experience including benefits administration and employee relations.
• Payroll processing experience or strong HRIS depth with payroll ownership.

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly payroll and verify time records, PTO, and pay changes.
• Own benefits administration from enrollment to reconciliation.
• Serve as first point of contact for employee questions on pay, benefits, and policy; escalate when needed.
• Administer hourly full-cycle recruiting, including scheduling and candidate shortlists.
• Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, and maintain termination data log.
• Plan and execute company events and recognition programs within budget.
