Job summary

Southern Healthcare Management is seeking an HR Generalist to perform HR duties at a professional level and partner with senior HR management to support the Durham region. The role covers payroll processing, benefits administration, onboarding, employee relations, training, policy implementation, and data management.

The position may also involve HIPAA compliance, audits, and coordination of HR reporting. Strong computer skills and prior payroll/HR experience are preferred to ensure accurate

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent required or preferred.
• Proficient with personal computer usage.
• Previous payroll/HR experience, preferably with ADP and Workforce Manager.

Responsibilities

• Processes payroll documents for all employees in line with company policy.
• Sets up payroll and tax withholding records for new hires.
• Manages employee benefits enrollment and understanding.
• Maintains confidential employee records (PII, medical, I-9, etc.).
• Handles employee relations issues and escalates to corporate HR as needed.
• Conducts onboarding and maintains training documentation; supports OSHA/workers’ compensation tracking.
