Summit BHC, Peak Behavioral Health in Santa Teresa, NM, seeks an HR Generalist to manage recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and HRIS maintenance. The role includes policy guidance, employee relations, and regulatory compliance support.

Responsibilities cover training coordination, leave benefits processing, reporting, and partnerships with payroll. The candidate should have 3+ years HR experience and a relevant degree; SHRM/PHR certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field required OR high school diploma with related comparable experience.
• Three or more years’ experience in a progressively responsible HR role.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission, facility licensing standards and third-party payor requirements is beneficial.
• Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, employees, and external customers.

Responsabilités

• Manages recruiting, selection, and onboarding of new employees.
• Coordinates new hire and benefits orientation and training programs.
• Administers the benefits program including health benefits and 401K enrollment.
• Explains benefit coverage, deductibles, coinsurance, etc.
• Ensures benefits program communications via newsletters and memos; conducts orientation sessions.
• Assists in processing leave benefits (FMLA, STD, LTD).
• Processes and monitors Workers’ Compensation and unemployment claims with third party administrators.
• Maintains and audits employee files for compliance and tracks licenses/training.
• Enters employee data and status changes into the HRIS accurately.
• Coordinates mandatory training to meet regulatory requirements via LMS.
• Reviews employee handbooks and policies; suggests updates.
• Provides coaching to managers and staff to address HR issues.
• Supports employee relations, engagement, and recognition activities.
• Interacts with corporate staff on planning, problem resolution, and reporting.
• Advises managers on performance management, workforce planning, and onboarding.
