Job summary

The Grand Hotel at The Grand Canyon is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support the daily HR functions alongside the HR Manager. duties include payroll, benefits, leave, I-9/E-Verify, onboarding and orientation, and HRIS reporting.

This is a full-time, year-round role in Tusayan, AZ, offering $23.35/hr with a 40-hour work week and a schedule that may include weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of general HR office procedures and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks within deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Administer payroll, benefits, and leave; handle inquiries and issues.
• Run HRIS reports and track I-9 and E-Verify compliance.
• Onboard new employees and conduct orientation training.
• Support onboarding journeys and ensure a smooth start.
• Attend disciplinary meetings and investigations as needed.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
• Maintain knowledge of HR trends and best practices.
• Coordinate monthly newsletter and organize employee events.
