Job summary

The Grand Hotel at the Grand Canyon, part of Xanterra Travel Collection, is hiring a Human Resources Generalist to join the Admin/HR team in Tusayan, Arizona. The role partners with the HR Manager to run daily HR duties, including pay, benefits, leave, HRIS reporting, I‑9 and E‑Verify compliance, onboarding and orientation.

Position is full-time, year-round with a schedule of 40 hours per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays) and pay of $23.35 per hour.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of general HR office procedures and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Good interpersonal skills for professional communication with employees.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks within set timelines.

Responsibilities

• Administer pay, benefits, and leave; run HRIS reports and onboarding processes.
• Handle onboarding and orientation for new employees; support the HR Manager.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Manage inquiries from applicants and employees; escalate sensitive issues.
• Coordinate onboarding journeys and engagement plans for new hires.
• Support disciplinary meetings, investigations, and termination processes.
