Global Market Foods (GMF) is seeking a HR Generalist to support the daily operations of our Human Resources department across U.S. locations, including Illinois.

This role provides hands-on support in HRIS management (Paycom), recruiting, onboarding, benefits, payroll preparation, compliance, and HR reporting, ensuring consistent, accurate service delivery. The position emphasizes organization, confidentiality, and strong communication, with a fast-paced environment across multiple sites,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of HR generalist or coordinator experience; multi-state or manufacturing/distribution environment preferred.
• Proficiency in Paycom, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace; knowledge of EEO, FMLA, ACA, I-9, wage & hour laws.
• Strong written and verbal communication; highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive; able to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• HRIS Management: Maintain Paycom to ensure accurate employee records and transactions.
• Recruiting & Onboarding: Post jobs, coordinate interviews, manage new-hire processes and onboarding.
• Employee Records Administration: Maintain confidential files compliant with standards.
• Benefits Administration: Support enrollments and life events; COBRA notifications.
• Payroll & Timekeeping Support: Audit timecards and prepare payroll data.
• Compliance & Reporting: Maintain OSHA logs and policy acknowledgments; assist audits.
• Safety, Training & Development Coordination: Schedule and track training and attendance.
• General HR Administrative Support: Collaborate with HR across IL/TX/CA/NJ on initiatives.
