Job summary

Charlie's Produce is hiring a Human Resources Generalist to support a ~108‑employee division in prepared foods and brand. This on‑site role, reporting to the General Manager, covers benefits, safety, HRIS and payroll with corporate HR support.

Expect a broad range of HR duties and opportunities for growth in a fast-paced environment. You will manage recruiting, employee relations, leaves, compliance, safety programs, onboarding and development initiatives while maintaining confidentiality and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably in food/manufacturing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize workflow and manage time effectively.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office.
• Multilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruiting including postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
• Handle employee relations issues and provide guidance to management and staff.
• Manage leaves of absence including FMLA, disability, and personal leave.
• Administer workers' compensation, SAW reimbursements, OSHA reporting and compliance; coordinate with providers.
• Support Safety Committee and safety initiatives.
• Lead employee engagement initiatives and organize company events.
• Conduct new hire orientation and ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
• Administer learning and development programs.
• Provide general benefits support including open enrollment and inquiries.
• Maintain Employee File Compliance and support Performance Review process.
