Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an HR Generalist to support plant HR operations in a unionized manufacturing environment. You will partner with leadership and employees on workforce relations, policy administration, and HR programs to balance advocacy with business needs.

The ideal candidate has broad HR Generalist skills, experience in a unionized setting, and strong communication. Travel 5–10% is required, with on-site duties at the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or related field required.
• Experience in a manufacturing plant environment strongly preferred.
• Broad HR Generalist skills: employee relations, recruiting, and labor law knowledge.
• Experience supporting employees in a unionized setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support HR strategies and programs aligned with business goals.
• Provide day-to-day HR support to employees and supervisors.
• Oversee staffing, onboarding, HR training, and employee engagement.
• Maintain employee records per policy and legal standards.
• Analyze HR data for reporting and decision making.
• Partner with managers on attendance and employee relations investigations.
• Support union-related processes and collective bargaining administration.
• Promote a positive workplace culture aligned with safety and compliance.
• Travel 5–10% as needed.
