Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an HR Generalist to deliver local HR services, counsel management, and support programs that improve engagement and compliance. You will manage onboarding, performance, policy implementation, and diverse, inclusive practices across the site in Fort Smith, AR.

The role requires a Bachelor's in HR or related field, strong communication skills, and the ability to work across shifts. Benefits kick in on day one, including health insurance and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field required.
• Past experience in a plant environment preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and organized with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to work independently and/or collaboratively with a team; strong project management.
• HRMS proficiency; Workday/UKG experience a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR counsel to business management teams and support HR strategies and programs.
• Support onboarding, talent development, retention, and engagement initiatives.
• Assist with onboarding new employees and provide culture and company resources.
• Gather and interpret HR data for reports and decisions.
• Coach and influence managers and monitor employee climate.
• Handle employee relations intake and advise on corrective actions.
• Collaborate with local management to develop retention plans.
• Perform HR administration related to recruiting, onboarding, payroll, and records.
• Other duties as assigned by HRBP.
