Job summary

ITC Manufacturing is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support daily HR operations at our Columbus, Ohio plant. You will advise leadership and employees on policies, benefits, recruiting, training, and compliance while fostering a positive work culture.

You will manage onboarding, payroll inputs, employee records, and training programs, partnering with Safety to handle injuries and return-to-work initiatives. This role emphasizes confidentiality, accuracy, and collaborative problem-solving.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of human resources experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
• Experience with HRIS systems (ADP preferred), Microsoft Word and Excel, and database tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary contact for benefits, time and attendance, policies, and HR matters.
• Address employee concerns, conduct internal investigations, and coordinate corrective action.
• Facilitate onboarding, including HRIS setup, payroll entry, orientation, and training.
• Manage job postings, applicant flow, and pre-screen interviews; administer candidate assessments and plant tours.
• Assist with workforce planning and temporary staffing coordination.
• Coordinate and track employee training programs and keep accurate training records.
• Maintain accurate employee files and HRIS records in compliance with laws.
• Process weekly payroll inputs, validate timecards, and monitor attendance systems.
• Respond to unemployment claims and support audits and reporting.
• Partner with leadership and Safety on injuries and return-to-work initiatives.
• Collaborate with supervisors on performance management and engagement initiatives.
• Participate in cross-functional HR projects and process improvements.
