Job summary

Caris Life Sciences seeks an HR Generalist on-site in Irving, TX to support HR Operations with leave and accommodation programs, and to manage employee data and compliance tasks. This role coordinates with the Director and HR Operations team, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and timely escalation of compliance risks.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional HR experience with direct leave administration (FMLA and state-specific leave).
• Experience managing a third-party leave or benefits vendor relationship.
• Working knowledge of HRIS (Workday/ADP/Oracle) Absence and HCM modules.
• Knowledge of ADA interactive-process requirements and coordinating accommodation cases.
• Ability to develop standardized, documented processes in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Leave & Accommodation Administration: Administer FMLA, state, and company leaves; intake, case setup, tracking, and closure.
• Vendor relationship management: oversee third-party leave administrator, claims monitoring, weekly reporting, and issue resolution.
• System transactions: process leave-related Workday transactions including suspension/reactivation for on-going leaves.
• Payroll coordination: provide accurate, timely leave information, wage continuation, and return-to-work status.
• Policy communication: maintain and communicate leave policy updates with Legal and leadership.
• Interactive meetings: schedule/process meetings between employee, leader, and HRBP; manage accommodation docs.
• Case documentation: prepare case summaries for HR leadership review.
• Employee data changes: manage name/address/job profile changes and multi-state tax/compliance reviews.
• Workday data hygiene: create/audit supervisory organizations and cost-centre assignments; flag discrepancies.
• Employment verification: process requests within SLA; monitor HR helpline inbox.
• Process discipline: develop/maintain current process docs; cross-train team members.
• Continuous improvement: identify opportunities to improve HR processes and self-service.
