Indiana University (IU) Bloomington Human Resources (HR) managesday-to-day HR operations and drives the implementation of strategicpeople initiatives for 26 departments, units, and schools acrossthe IU Bloomington campus. As strategic business partners, weprovide subject matter leadership and consulting designed toincrease workplace productivity and to develop improved processesfor attracting, developing, and retaining people with the requiredskills and aptitude to meet current and future businessneeds.
Areas of responsibility may include employment and selection,classification and compensation, employee relations, and ongoing HRsupport in assigned unit(s).
Combinations of related education and experience may beconsidered. Education beyond the minimum required may besubstituted for work experience. Work experience beyond the minimumrequired may be substituted for education.
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and tooperate a computer and other standard office productivityequipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periodsof time moving around an office environment and the campus. Theperson in this role must be able to perform the essential functionswith or without an accommodation.
