Indiana University Bloomington's Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty and Academic Affairs seeks an APPS HR Coordinator to provide high‑level support to APPS and the Bloomington campus, handling academic HR processes and eDoc processing.
You will manage a group email, maintain campus‑wide academic contact lists, keep personnel records, support promotions and tenure cycles, and help with document preparation and audits.

The Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty and Academic Affairs(OVPFAA) supports faculty across the full span of their academiccareers from recruitment through retirement. It's mission is toenrich the campus community by advancing the centrality of theacademic mission, advocating for faculty, and enhancing excellencein teaching and learning. OVPFAA works collaboratively with campuspartners to ensure strong faculty support systems and a thrivingacademic environment.
Within OVPFAA, Academic Personnel Policies and Services (APPS)serves as the primary point of contact for Indiana University (IU)Bloomington schools and departments on academic human resourcesmatters. APPS oversees academic transaction processing andmaintains academic personnel records, while also serving as atrusted resource for policy and records guidance. The officemanages academic personnel actions for academic appointees,facilitates promotion and tenure processes, administers leaves,conducts records audits, and supports recruitment activities acrossthe Bloomington campus.
Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Academic PersonnelPolicies and Services, the APPS Human Resources (HR) Coordinatorprovides a wide range of high-level support to OVPFAA andBloomington campus. The position is the administrative backbone ofthe APPS team through facilitating the maintenance of facultyrecords, managing central office communications, supporting crucialacademic HR processes, including eDoc processing, and assistingwith projects as assigned.
Combinations of related education and experience may beconsidered. Education beyond the minimum required may besubstituted for work experience. Work experience beyond the minimumrequired may be substituted for education.
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and tooperate a computer and other standard office productivityequipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periodsof time moving around an office environment and the campus. Theperson in this role must be able to perform the essential functionswith or without an accommodation.
Salary Plan Grade: PAC 3HG
This position is Non-Exempt, Non-Union
