Job summary

Seattle Indian Health Board is hiring a HR Generalist to support the HR Director and Chief People Officer at Thunderbird Treatment Center. You will advise managers and employees on policies, manage onboarding, leaves, and HRIS data, while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.

The role requires 2–3 years of HR experience, familiarity with federal and state HR laws, and strong communication skills. Work is performed on-site with standard hours, supporting organizational initiatives and

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in a generalist capacity.
• Knowledge of FMLA, ADA/ADAAA, USERRA, PFML, and related regulations.
• Experience administering leaves of absence and reasonable accommodations.
• Experience with HRIS systems, preferably UKG Ready.
• Healthcare, tribal, or federally regulated environment preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong recordkeeping and documentation skills, with confidentiality in handling information.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment & onboarding support across platforms and departments.
• Provide day-to-day guidance on employee relations, performance management, and policy interpretation.
• Manage leaves of absence and accommodations processes.
• Maintain HRIS data, records, reporting, and audits.
• Assist benefits administration and open enrollment activities.
