Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries, a fourth-generation family-owned lumber and millwork leader based in Northern California, is hiring an HR Generalist to support leadership across 20+ locations from the Anderson, California office. The role covers recruiting, employee relations, training, payroll, and policy implementation while partnering with HR Coordinators and Managers.

Qualifications

• 4 years progressive office administration experience including 2 years Human Resources-specific experience, or Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• Understanding of Federal and State employment laws.
• Proven ability to work independently, discretely, and handle confidential information.
• Experience identifying and analyzing issues, and applying good judgement with minimal management intervention.
• Skill in leadership, communication, motivation, and people management.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously to achieve expected results.
• Proficient in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Establish yourself as a resource and partner with HR Coordinators and Managers at more than 20 locations.
• Learn and grow in level of responsibility through identifying opportunities, taking initiative, and effective collaboration.
• Involved with diverse functional areas such as recruiting and selection, employee relations, training, employment practices, and payroll processes.
• Lead development and implementation of effective Human Resources programs and processes.
• Collaborate and mentor to improve recruiting, interviewing, and hiring practices at manufacturing locations.
• Engage with employees to address questions or concerns, and assist in conducting investigations.
• Gain proficiency in the Company’s Human Resources Information and Payroll systems.
• Monitor Company HR policies and practices to find opportunities for training and improvement.
