Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is hiring an HR Generalist at the Bridgeport Distribution Center in Swedesboro, NJ, with responsibilities spanning recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, payroll, benefits and compliance.

You will support multiple sites, work a Monday–Friday schedule for a 2-shift operation, and help implement HR policies while maintaining accurate records and data in HR systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field with 2–4 years HR experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of HR policies and local, state and federal requirements.
• Ability to assess information, use sound judgment, and resolve problems.
• Proficient to advanced in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Basic proficiency with AI-enabled workplace tools and technologies.
• Commitment to a respectful, inclusive, collaborative environment.
• Continuous-learning mindset and adaptability to changing needs.
• Resume attachment is required.

Responsibilities

• Answer employee HR questions and connect staff with resources during daily huddles and meetings.
• Support HR management with employee relations concerns and investigations.
• Prepare separation notices and documentation for hourly employees.
• Help develop site-level HR policies and processes.
• Administer full-cycle recruiting for shop/warehouse roles and support salaried hiring.
• Facilitate new employee orientation on policies, benefits and training.
• Process weekly payroll and quarterly gainshare payments; manage leaves.
• Coordinate contractor workforce programs and maintain HR records.
