Job summary

Preferred Behavioral Health Group is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support the HR department in Brick, NJ. This in–person role covers onboarding, leave management, workers’ compensation, and internship coordination using ADP Workforce Now.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years HR experience, a Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, and strong communication and confidentiality skills to ensure compliance and high-quality employee relations.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent and Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
• Experience: 1–2 years in HR; nonprofit sector a plus.

Responsibilities

• Onboarding and offboarding processes; onboarding checks and background steps.
• Manage leaves of absence (FMLA/NJFLA) and workers’ compensation workflows.
• Coordinate internship program; maintain HRIS tasks in ADP Workforce Now.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain employee records and audits.
• Oversee exit processes and unemployment documentation.
