Job summary

Think Together seeks an HR Generalist I to support payroll coordination, onboarding, and daily HR operations at our San Jose office. The role requires handling confidential data, maintaining files, and ensuring compliance with California employment regulations.

The position emphasizes strong communication, collaboration with program teams, and data entry accuracy. A Bachelor's degree and HR experience are preferred, with live scan and TB testing requirements noted.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of HR experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred.
• Professional HR certification preferred (PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP/GPHR).
• Working knowledge of CA employment law.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with payroll to ensure accuracy of final wages.
• Summarize and report regional payroll information.
• Intakes related to infectious disease as applicable.
• Assist in day-to-day HR operations and ensure legal compliance.
• Update and maintain employee files (physical and electronic).
• Verify time/attendance data and payroll records with strong Excel skills.
• Prepare and deliver onboarding presentations.
• Handle onboarding, new hire orientation, transfers and terminations, including HRIS data entry.
• Communicate with employees, managers and candidates professionally.
• Support Program Departments and the Regional Hub office.
• Organize work to meet deadlines and complete special projects.
• Provide guidance on Think Together policies and best practices.
• Create and maintain data entry/tracking sheets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
