Job summary

University of Florida is seeking an HR Transactions, Hiring and Personnel Processing Specialist I to assist with routine HR transactions for TEAMS, OPS, GRA, and volunteers, in coordination with the department HR team.

The role supports recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and HR recordkeeping, including payroll-related actions and I-9 verification, with emphasis on accuracy and timely completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Familiarity with UF and/or College of Medicine HR processes is preferred.
• Experience with myUFL, PageUp, Smartsheet or similar tracking systems is desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with and process routine HR transactions for TEAMS, OPS, GRA, and volunteer populations in coordination with the department HR team.
• Support recruitment and hiring activities, including postings, background checks, draft offer letters, and processing new hires/terminations.
• Coordinate onboarding/offboarding logistics and payroll-related actions; assist with I-9 verification and onboarding compliance steps.
• Maintain confidential HR records and tracking tools to support continuity and timely follow-up.
• Provide departmental HR support for foreign national hires and renewals and related HR documentation.
