Job summary

Hitachi Rail is seeking a proactive HR Generalist to support the Honolulu Rail Project in Pearl City, HI. The role focuses on recruitment planning, onboarding, and administering HR programs to align with corporate goals.

You will work with department leaders to ensure policy compliance and accurate HRIS data while contributing to data-driven workforce insights. This position offers ongoing professional development and opportunities to influence HR practices within a global engineering

Qualifications

• Three years of recruitment and employee relations experience required.
• Knowledge across HR disciplines: recruitment, compensation, organization performance, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and employment laws.
• Certifications SRHM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR preferred; ATS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support HR management with recruitment plans and strategies and manage hiring processes to build a strong workforce.
• Coordinate onboarding for new hires, contractors, and other resources with hiring managers.
• Assist in developing and administering HR programs, policies, and guidelines to align with company goals.
• Help interpret and ensure compliance with policies and employment laws; liaise with department leaders on HR matters.
• Maintain HRIS records and generate standard and ad-hoc reports; support data analysis and trend reporting.
