Hampton University Proton Cancer Institute (Hampton Proton) is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support the HR department by administering a range of HR functions with strong customer service.

The HR Generalist will coordinate recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, payroll, benefits, compliance, and policy administration within Dayforce, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in a fast-paced healthcare environment near Hampton, VA.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or closely related subject.
• 3–5 years of working experience in an HR administrative role.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment regulations.
• In-depth understanding of HR principles, best business practices, and employment laws.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment activities, including posting job openings, reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, onboarding, and organizing personnel files.
• Collect, verify, and track licenses, certifications, and credentials for timely renewal and compliance.
• Monitor annual compliance training and maintain LMS records.
