Job summary

Virginia Oncology Associates is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support HR programs across multiple sites in Hampton Roads and Eastern North Carolina. The role requires travel to various locations and is based in Harbourview, Suffolk, VA, with in-person work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct onboarding for new employees.
• Provide consultation on HR management issues including staffing, employee relations, performance management, policy compliance, and guidance on policies and procedures.
• Investigate employee relations issues and recommend resolutions.
• Coordinate with HR specialists to troubleshoot issues and implement approved plans.
• Assist management with job descriptions, requisition process, eCOS, and salary administration.
• Conduct exit interviews, summarize findings, and manage engagement surveys; facilitate follow-up actions.

Overview

Virginia Oncology Associates, the largest group of medical professionals in Hampton Roads and Northeast North Carolina devoted exclusively to cancer care and blood disorders, has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Generalist to provide professional support for HR programs at our multi-site practice. This position will require the ability to travel to multiple practice locations throughout Hampton Roads and Eastern North Carolina. This position will be located in our Harbourview location in Suffolk, VA

Compensation Range: $42,954.91 - $95,970.09

Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as, relevant experience, education, certifications, licensure, and skills that align with the role.

Employment Type: Full-Time, In-Person

• Conducts employee onboarding
• Provides consultation on human resource management issues to include: staffing; employee relations; sexual harassment; performance management; dispute resolution; compliance and integrity; policy administration; and disseminating and providing guidance on company policies and procedures in compliance with applicable state and federal laws.
• Investigates employee relation issues; identifies issues, facts, policy violations, and other culture/values that impact the workplace; and recommends solutions and how to obtain resolution.
• May involve HR technical experts to troubleshoot and resolves issues. Implements/ delivers approved plan and strategy.
• Assists management with writing effective and accurate job descriptions, requisition process and approval, eCOS, salary administration, etc.
• Conducts exit interviews, summarizes findings, and writes executive overview. Manages employee engagement survey, summarizes findings, and facilitates follow-up and action items meetings. May perform work force analysis and recommendations on a variety of HR issues.
• Administers Leave of Absences in accordance with current regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Advises management on appropriate business solutions to salary expenditures and various compensation issues.
• Conducts employee and management training on a variety of Human Resources topics. May develop training materials.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Human Resources, Business, or related field required.
• Minimum 3 years of HR experience required.

• Ability to travel to all site locations is required.
