Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an HR Generalist at its distribution center in California. You will partner with DC leadership to provide comprehensive HR support, recruit and retain talent, ensure policy and employment law compliance, and identify training needs to support associate growth.

The role includes HR operations, recruitment, training, and cross-functional projects, with strong communication and confidentiality required and proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems. A yearly bonus is possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Two+ years of progressive HR experience.
• Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with business partners and associates.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Maintain personnel records and HRIS systems.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws.
• Conduct exit interviews and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Recommend new HR programs, policies, and approaches to support business success.
• Identify, assess, and recruit hourly talent to staff the facility.
• Assist in administering the performance management process.
• Conduct new-hire orientations and benefits meetings.
• Assess training needs and create HR training programs.
• Represent HR on cross-functional projects and process improvements.
