Job summary

Big Brown Fly Ash, LLC in Fairfield, TX is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, training, and compliance. This full-time, salaried role partners with management to implement HR programs aligned with business goals.

You will work closely with the HR team and operations to foster a positive workplace culture, ensure policy compliance, and deliver timely HR services across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field.
• 2+ years HR experience in generalist or specialist roles.
• Strong knowledge of HR laws and best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and confidentiality.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems and training capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to support workforce needs and HR programs.
• Manage full-cycle recruitment, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
• Administer health, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits; answer employee questions.
• Support payroll processing with accurate employee data and timekeeping.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and handbook.
• Manage employee relations, investigations, performance, and conflict resolution.
• Oversee training, including orientation and compliance programs.
• Maintain HR records and HRIS data; train users on timekeeping, benefits, PTO.
• Assist with workers’ comp, leave, and return-to-work programs.
• Prepare HR reports and metrics for leadership review.
• Support HR projects and provide policy guidance to employees and managers.
