Job summary

GLOVIS America, Inc. is seeking a Temporary Human Resources Generalist to support daily HR operations in Port Hueneme, CA. You will manage employee records, benefits administration, leave management, compliance, onboarding, and performance initiatives.

The role covers full-cycle recruitment, onboarding documentation, HRIS maintenance, and staying compliant with FMLA/ADA regulations. 1–2 years HR experience and Bachelor’s preferred; position located in the Port Hueneme office.

Qualifications

• At least 1–2 years of HR experience in recruiting and administration.
• Familiarity with FMLA, ADA, and wage/hour compliance.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; SHRM/PHR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for Port Hueneme VPC, confirm headcount and requisitions.
• Post ads, review resumes, screen applicants, arrange interviews, maintain ATS.
• Create offer letters, collect acceptances, schedule pre-employment screenings.
• Conduct new-hire orientation and onboarding, ensure legal documents are complete.
• Oversee temp-to-permanent conversions and assist with referral program data.
• Advise on candidate selection and hiring policies; support staffing needs.
• Provide weekly recruiting progress and strategy updates.
• Ensure positive candidate experience from first contact to onboarding.
• Maintain accurate HRIS records and documents; support audits.
