Job summary

KNAPP Inc. is seeking an HR Generalist to support employee relations, training, performance management, policy implementation, and employment law compliance across multiple business units. This role involves collaborating with HRBPs, driving engagement, and ensuring compliant HR practices at scale.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of HR experience, familiarity with California/Canadian labor laws, and SHRM/PHR credentials are highly desired. Travel up to 15% and a hybrid work model are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related business degree or equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
• 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including at least 1 year working with distributing or manufacturing sites.
• SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR highly desired.
• Strong understanding of applicable Labor Laws, both State and Federal, with experience in California and Canadian employment law a plus.
• Ability to build relationships and influence across multiple operations.
• Work with minimal supervision and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Detail oriented, accurate with a high level of reliability.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in understanding the business and people issues within their assigned business units.
• Collaborate with business leaders on strategic organizational design and management under the HRBP.
• Partner with business leaders to drive engagement, culture, and retention.
• Ensure HR policies and processes are consistently administered.
• Assist with recruitment strategies and talent reviews.
• Mentor and develop junior staff members.
• Maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations.
