Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking an HR Generalist to serve as a liaison between upper management and hourly employees in a manufacturing setting. The role emphasizes employee relations, policy development, compliance, training, and performance management to foster a safe, respectful workplace.

The position will handle policy administration, investigations, and collaboration with management to resolve HR issues promptly and with integrity.

Qualifications

• 5 years industrial/manufacturing experience preferred; 7+ years HR experience incl. Employee Relations, Employment Law, Conflict Resolution, Policy Administration, Incident Investigations, Training and Development.
• Experience with incident investigations and training; conflict management and problem solving.
• Hands-on process operations experience within a manufacturing work environment preferred.
• Candidates should be in good standing and have a record that demonstrates integrity and adherence to company standards of conduct.

Responsibilities

• Policy Administration: Review HR policies for enhancements and improvements; propose revisions.
• HR Investigations: Conduct unbiased investigations with confidentiality.
• HR Training: Deliver HR-related training on leadership and policy topics.
• Employee Relations: Support management and employees during incidents, crises, and HR issues.
• Employment Law Implementation: Ensure compliance with current laws and relay changes to stakeholders.
• THM: Promote cleanliness and maintenance programs in the plant.
