Job summary

Veo is seeking an HR Generalist to partner with Operations and People teams across multiple markets, focusing on employee relations, investigations, compliance, and people programs. You will support core HR processes enabling our distributed workforce to succeed and coach managers on performance and policy matters.

You will work with leaders to address issues, manage workforce planning, and help scale People Operations while upholding HR best practices in a fast-growing tech company.

Qualifications

• Requires onsite Santa Monica four days per week and base in Los Angeles area.
• 5+ years of experience conducting workplace investigations, with preference for harassment, discrimination, retaliation cases.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regs.
• Experience advising managers and managing complex employee relations.
• Proficient with HRIS tools (e.g., Rippling) and data-driven HR processes.
• Solid understanding of HR principles and policy application across locations.
• Experience supporting geographically distributed teams across markets.
• Excellent communication skills and neutral, professional coaching.
• Proven ownership, judgment, and problem-solving in prior roles.

Responsibilities

• Employee relations across multiple markets, investigations, discipline support, and policy guidance.
• HR business partnership with Operations leadership to align workforce needs and talent management.
• Compliance & risk management, including leave, accommodations, claims, audits, and training.
• People operations support for onboarding/offboarding, HRIS workflows, and scalable processes across distributed teams.
