Job summary

Milwaukee Tool in Wisconsin seeks an HR Generalist to partner with employees and managers, delivering a positive experience and supporting Talent initiatives, employee relations, engagement, and talent cycle processes.

You'll help maintain records, support core Talent programs, and assist with workforce planning in a fast-paced environment while upholding confidential and compliant practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field and/or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources, Talent Operations, Talent Management, or a related business support role.
• Experience supporting employee-related programs, performance management, engagement initiatives, or HR processes.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build positive working relationships with employees, managers, and business partners.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in a changing environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Support employee experience programs including engagement surveys, skip-level meetings, stay interviews, exit interviews, and action planning initiatives.
• Gather and organize employee feedback and Talent data to identify themes and opportunities for improvement.
• Support leaders and Talent partners in executing engagement and development initiatives.
• Help foster an inclusive and supportive work environment where employees feel comfortable raising questions and concerns.
• Escalate significant employee feedback, concerns, or trends to the appropriate Talent partner.
• Support execution of core Talent programs, including performance management, talent and organizational reviews, internal mobility, employee development initiatives, and other Talent cycle activities.
• Coordinate communications, documentation, and follow-up activities related to Talent programs.
• Maintain accurate employee records and Talent data within applicable systems.
• Respond to routine employee and manager inquiries related to Talent programs and processes.
• Support Talent initiatives and special projects as assigned.
• Conduct intake and documentation for routine employee relations and performance matters while partnering with Talent Business Partners to determine appropriate next steps.
• Support managers with routine Talent processes and documentation requirements.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, documentation standards, and data accuracy requirements.
• Identify and elevate complex employee relations, compliance, or organizational concerns as appropriate.
• Build effective working relationships with employees, managers, and cross-functional partners.
• Support Talent Business Partners in executing talent initiatives aligned to business needs.
• Gather and organize Talent data to support reporting, insight generation, and decision-making.
• Assist with implementation of workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and employee development initiatives.
• Demonstrate a foundational understanding of business operations and Talent practices to support day-to-day Talent activities.
