Job summary

Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC in Nashville seeks an HR Generalist to provide hands-on support across employee relations, onboarding, performance and development, and policy guidance. The role partners with managers to foster a productive workplace aligned with the company’s values and culture.

You will handle onboarding logistics, support performance reviews, assist with HR systems and compliance, and serve as a trusted point of contact for staff in the local office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in human resources preferred.
• Working knowledge of HR practices, policies, and employment law.
• Experience with HRIS; SuccessFactors a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Customer service mindset with proactive problem solving.
• Strong organizational skills and deadline management.
• Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
• PHR/SHRM-CP or pursuing certification preferred.
• Experience in construction or AEC industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support onboarding and new employee experience for the designated office.
• Assist with performance management processes and development initiatives.
• Support employee relations, documentation, and issue triage.
• Help communicate HR policies and ensure policy consistency.
• Assist with HR operations, HRIS navigation, and recruiting coordination.
• Develop knowledge of the business to anticipate HR needs and provide proactive support.
