Job summary

Brazos Valley Community Action Prog is hiring a Human Resources Generalist to support HR operations for approximately 100 employees across multiple program locations in Bryan, Texas. The role emphasizes recruitment, onboarding, payroll support, and HR record-keeping with Paylocity and other systems.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in HR practices, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage confidential information while delivering responsive HR support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, or related field.
• Minimum of two years of Human Resources Generalist experience.
• Experience with HRIS/payroll systems and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment activities, job postings, screening, and hiring processes.
• Facilitate employee onboarding, orientation, and personnel documentation.
• Assist with benefits administration, enrollment, and employee inquiries.
• Maintain confidential employee records within Paylocity and other HR systems.
• Support employee relations, leave administration, and compliance with employment regulations.
• Assist with payroll-related data verification and employee information updates.
• Track employee training, certifications, evaluations, and compliance requirements.
• Prepare HR reports, spreadsheets, and workforce data for management.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes through technology and automation.
• Provide responsive and professional HR support to employees and supervisors across multiple locations.
