Base pay range

$49,000.00/yr - $52,000.00/yr

Position: HR Generalist

We are seeking a dynamic HR Generalist to manage a wide range of human resources responsibilities, with a primary focus on recruitment, onboarding, orientation, employee placement, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. This role is vital in maintaining our staffing needs and fostering a positive, supportive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversee all staffing needs and daily HR operations.
  2. Liaise with recruiting agencies and hiring managers to fill vacancies promptly.
  3. Support candidate screening, interviewing, and hiring processes.
  4. Facilitate onboarding procedures including employee relocation assistance and ensuring completion of legal documentation.
  5. Assist in developing and executing new hire orientation and ongoing training plans.
  6. Develop work schedules by allocating employees appropriately to shifts and positions.
  7. Utilize staffing software to prepare, update, and maintain the master schedule.
  8. Create the daily 24-hour staffing sheet for the skilled nursing facility.
  9. Review and approve requests for paid time off (PTO) and vacation.
  10. Manage timekeeping records and time-off requests in coordination with department heads.
  11. Collaborate closely with Payroll to ensure accurate employee compensation.
  12. Recruit nursing staff to ensure full shift coverage and meet facility staffing needs.
  13. Track attendance and assist with the progressive disciplinary process related to absenteeism and tardiness.
  14. Ensure compliance with all internal policies and federal/state employment regulations.
  15. Prepare and submit reports on staffing, recruitment activities, and HR operations.
Skills
  1. Two or more years of staffing experience preferred.
  2. HS Diploma required, CNA license preferred.
  3. OnShift experience preferred.
  4. Flexibility for weekends and evenings required.
  5. Experience in planning and execution of HR plans (onboarding, hiring, etc.).
  6. Solid knowledge of relevant legal regulations (equal employment opportunity, relocation, laws, visa procedures, etc.).
  7. Knowledge of staffing policies, procedures, and best practices.
  8. Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
  9. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  10. Reliable with respect to confidentiality.
