Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our Compression Flow Technologies Business Unit. This role will support recruitment, HRIS management, and employee relations, while ensuring compliance and enhancing employee experience.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in HR, with skills in communication and problem-solving highly valued. We offer a variety of benefits, including health coverage and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to work independently, prioritize, and pivot to meet changing needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage onboarding process including pre-employment testing and new hire paperwork.
• Maintain the HRIS employee database and files.
• Deploy HR plans and processes aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate with HR business partners to share best practices.
• Assist employees with benefits issues and annual open enrollment.
• Ensure EHS compliance and manage safety training needs.
• Work closely with leadership to improve work relationships.

Job Overview

We are looking for a dynamic HR Generalist to join our Compression Flow Technologies Business Unit. The role collaborates with HR leadership to drive initiatives for both salaried and hourly employees, shaping the employee experience and contributing to high‑impact projects in a fast‑paced, people‑focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment – manages onboarding process including pre‑employment testing, new hire paperwork, orientation, and HRIS entry.
• HRIS – maintains SuccessFactors Human Resources Information System employee database and files.
• Communication/Training – deploys HR plans, processes, programs and policies aligned with business objectives, including organizational design, succession planning, talent management/acquisition, goal alignment/performance management, employee engagement and communications.
• Partnership – collaborates with local HR business partners to share best practices, address critical needs and support local site and sector initiatives.
• Benefits – assists employees with benefits issues, annual open enrollment, and wellness on‑site annual screenings.
• Safety – ensures EHS compliance, submits Worker’s Comp claims, and manages safety training needs and response programs.
• Employee Relations – works closely with leadership to improve work relationships, build engagement and increase productivity and retention; acts as employee advocate, provides coaching and counseling, monitors employee climate, and drives cultural transformation.
• Other responsibilities as assigned or required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 2+ years of experience in Human Resources

Core Competencies

• Self‑motivated and reliable, able to work independently, prioritize, and pivot to meet changing needs while collaborating effectively within HR and business teams.

Preferences

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
• SHRM‑CP or SHRM‑P is a plus
• SAP SuccessFactors experience preferred
• Strong judgment, problem‑solving ability, and relationship‑building skills
• Expertise in employee relations
• Excellent communication skills

Travel & Work Arrangements

This position will be on‑site based in Enon, OH or Burbank, CA with minimal anticipated travel.
