Job summary

NorthPoint Search Group is seeking a strategic HR Controller for a growing construction-focused organization in Woodstock, GA. The role oversees payroll accounting, compensation analysis, benefits financial oversight, and compliance using QuickBooks Online.

Hybrid work arrangement in Woodstock, Georgia, with immediate need for a full-time, permanent position. The ideal candidate brings 7+ years in accounting/finance with HR/payroll exposure and strong Excel/ERP skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in accounting/finance with HR or payroll exposure.
• Experience with payroll systems, benefits accounting, and compliance.
• Experience using QuickBooks Online or similar ERP systems.
• Strong Excel and ERP skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll accounting, accruals, and reconciliations using QuickBooks Online.
• Partner with HR leadership on compensation and benefits cost analysis for field/project employees.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and internal controls.
• Develop HR-related financial reporting and forecasting models.
• Support audits related to payroll, benefits, and employee expenses.
• Analyze workforce metrics to support strategic decision-making across construction operations.
