Job summary

NorthPoint Search Group is seeking a Controller (Construction) in Union City, GA. You will oversee all accounting operations, manage job costing, WIP, budgeting, and financial reporting for foundation and construction projects in a hybrid office/site environment.

The role demands GAAP compliance, strong leadership, and collaboration with project managers to forecast costs and drive financial health of ongoing projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience in construction or related industry.
• Strong knowledge of job costing and percentage‑of‑completion accounting.
• Experience with construction accounting software (Sage, Viewpoint, Foundation) preferred.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions including AP/AR, payroll, and general ledger.
• Manage job costing, WIP reporting, and project financial tracking.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
• Collaborate with project managers to monitor budgets and forecast costs.
• Lead audits and coordinate with external accounting partners.
• Develop and improve financial processes and reporting systems.
