Colorado Youth for a Change is seeking a Human Resources Director in Denver to lead HR operations, payroll, benefits, and compliance for staff and AmeriCorps members. This full-time role focuses on people, culture, and systems to foster a values-driven environment.

The HR leader will oversee onboarding, policy development, staff training, LMS updates, and benefits enrollment, aligning with nonprofit governance and applicable laws.

Qualifications

• Eight years minimum as an HR Generalist.
• PHR or SPHR certification required.
• Nonprofit experience preferred.
• Experience with payroll systems and benefits administration.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HR compliance and employment laws for staff and AmeriCorps members.
• Lead onboarding programs and new-hire processes.
• Manage payroll documentation and semimonthly payroll administration.
• Serve as main point of contact for employee benefits and LMS updates.
• Coordinate staff trainings and professional development sessions.
• Support the organization culture and values alignment.
